Waldarry Festival 2019

This year we had 96 Festival attendees.  The weather was perfect - 88 degrees and sunny, yet not overbearing.  The theme was the "500 Years of Waldarrys," - when adding the ages of the 13 Waldarrys on their 2019 birthdays you get exactly 500!  What a spectacular reason to party!

We had guests from the District of Columbia, the states of Washington, California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont and locals from New York and Connecticut.  Additionally, we had Canadians from Ottawa and Montreal.

We had three rocket launchings, each tracked by a drone flying high above them.  The exciting fireworks show lasted 16 minutes through a medley of patriotic songs.

To see a collection of all the still photos from the day click Festival 2019 Photos.  The 16:40 minute fireworks video can be seen here (Full Fireworks Video).  If you just want to see the 4:16 minute grand finale click here (Fireworks Grand Finale).  We also have a great cellphone video (2:09 minutes) of part of the grand finale submitted by Dmitry Chorine, which you can see by clicking here.  And as a special bonus, Doug Goodwin sent us a spectacular video (10 seconds) from his drone capturing one of our rocket launches (click here)!

If anyone has additional photos or videos to add to this collection, please send them to bob.waldman@gmail.com and we would love to include them!

SPECIAL NOTE:  Quite a few folks ask about the history and evolution of the Waldarry Festival.  It is available on this www.waldarry.com website (from the homepage go to <photos> <general>) or simply click here to go directly to it.
